The Albury-Wodonga Paediatric Group is seeking a fulltime (possibly part time) Paediatrician to join our thriving group practice in late 2011 / early 2012.
The Albury-Wodonga Paediatric Group comprises 4 Paediatricians providing a fully integrated paediatric service, covering a local population of 100,000 with a catchment of 200,000. Practice is across the full range of paediatrics: spanning acute paediatrics, neonatology through to developmental and community paediatrics. The area is well supported with visiting sub-specialists from the Royal Children’s Hospital (Vic) as well as extensive local services including a Paediatric surgeon, Dr Tracey Merriman.
The Paediatricians have appointments with Albury Wodonga Health (both Albury and Wodonga hospitals) and supervise 3 fully accredited paediatric registrars – 2 rotating from Sydney Children’s Hospital training program and a third in a joint position with the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne. All the Paediatricians are involved in undergraduate teaching with the UNSW Rural Medical school and hold conjoint appointments.
On-call is 1 in 4 with first on call provided by the registrars. All on-call is shared with dedicated study and leave.
